Gregor Samsa, az utazóügynök egy nap arra ébred, hogy addigi élete megszűnt, ő pedig elviselhetetlen, undorító teherként élősködik családján. Georg, a sikeres üzletember, egy reggel benéz idős apja szobájába, hogy megvitasson vele egy látszólag mellékes ügyet, és a szobából kilépve egyenesen a folyóhoz megy, hogy belevesse magát. Blumfeld, az agglegény, amikor a munkából hazaér, két pattogó labdát talál szerény lakásában, és szokásos esti pipájára már nem tud rágyújtani. Legyen kicsi vagy nagy a beállt változás, Kafka írásaiban a normalitás váratlanul leveti álarcát, és alatta megmutatkozik a színtiszta abszurditás.

According to the renowned director, János Mohácsi and his former students we can do so with the help of Jewish jokes and songs, documents from the 30’s and 40’s, and by reciting them – in pitch darkness.
At first, there is nothing unusual about Katarina and Peter's marriage. Beneath the surface, however, they are driven by hellish desires. In the usual intimate and direct form of Dollar Papa's Children, the performance examines relationships torn apart by everyday life. The goal is to understand and get to like these characters during rehearsals, so that the audience can see them as lovable, at least for a short moment. Or is understanding just an illusion we want to believe in?
In 1909, Ferenc Molnár set the story of Liliom in his own time. The creators of the new performance of the Örkény Theatre imagine the images of Liliom and Juli's love in line with the author's original intentions, also in their own present, in a contemporary environment. Molnár's timeless themes collide with the problems, desires, and traumas of 21st century people.
